International Arbitration Courts
Arbitration hearings are stressful settings that require the very best interpreters in the world: accurate interpretation is absolutely critical to the outcome of the hearing. It is therefore essential for you to instruct the right interpreter.
I am a Fellow of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI), a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL) and a Chartered Linguist (Interpreter) in Turkish and English. I speak both Turkish and English as my mother tongue. I have 30 years’ experience in legal, business, diplomatic, medical and technical interpreting. I am a former senior interpreter at New Scotland Yard. I have served as a linguistic joint expert witness in the English civil and criminal courts. My experience extends to training legal interpreters and acting as an examiner, assessor and moderator for various governments around the world. Considering all the credentials outlined above, I am an excellent choice as an interpreter in arbitration settings.
I have worked as an interpreter in numerous international arbitration disputes in London, Paris, Geneva and Zurich over many years. Thanks to my expertise in interpreting and translation, coupled with extensive knowledge of fields such as international commerce, law, shipping, iron and steel, construction and medicine, I work for both claimants and respondents alike. Over the years, I have gained a wealth of interpreting experience in this sector.
In such contexts, confidentiality is essential. I have high security vetting and clearance and I am bound by the Codes of Professional Conduct of both the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL) and the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI). For your peace of mind, I am happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
